Review:

Having a book with a character as the same name as me and the “deaths” really intrigued me to read this book. Just from reading the summary it really reminded me of The Hunger Games with a little bit different concept.

This book had very unique characters to me – Gabriella was a 16 year old girl just trying to get by in life. She never expected to be picked. Her best friends always stood by her and I like when a story has best friends that stick together.

I like how this book had Gabriella very indecisive on what she should wish for. She wanted something unique that wouldn’t be classified as a “Stupid wish.” Gabriella was a very unselfish character and really cared about her friends seeing as all her wishes were to her friends.

The only one setback I had with this book was that it didn’t go into as much detail about the Deaths as I would have liked. Because of that I had a vague background knowledge to the Death’s and the departures.

Besides that one set back, this tale was very unique and I haven’t heard or read a book like this one. Steven’s writing really impressed me. It was a very short read and entertaining. Defiantly give this one a try if you are looking for something fun and short. The ending will defiantly shock you because I know I wasn’t expecting the ending.

And before she even begins to understand what is going on, she's sent on her first mission as an undercover model. And who better to partner with than David himself!

Review:

This book came out quite some time ago, but it was on Net galley and I was looking for a mystery book and this seemed to fit. So, when I was approved for the book I was so excited. I read it only in a day! It was really short and fun!

In the beginning we are shown that Kelly is given the choice to go to jail or to join the Specialist team. From the beginning I already knew this was going to be a really good book.

The Main character was really smart and I liked that about her. Also, the other specialist where so cool and some so funny. Bruiser was really spunky and cool which made her stand out to me. I loved how they each had something they were good at that set them apart from each other.

As, I got further into the story I really started to like David and his who mystery to save his dad. I was so interested in this story and them solving this mystery. Not only did this book have mystery it had a fun element. David and Kelly’s chemistry was so awesome. I loved the jokes they made and how in their chemistry grew as the story progressed. 
 

Overall, this story was a great read. It kept me immersed in the story the whole time. I am so excited to go get the next e-book. I am not hooked on their story and want to follow their journey as Specialist and see more of their mysteries they solve.

Review:

Ten intrigued me from the moment I heard about it. I knew the moment I started to read, the ending was going to be a shocker and it frankly kind of scared to crap out of me because I was reading it and it was raining as well. ..Weird! Ten first reminded me of the old R.L. Stine Fear Street series and I loved that series. This book was no less either. Wow

There were many characters in Ten. I think my favorite was TJ and Meg. Minnie kind of got on my nerves as well as Vivian. Vivian I was so glad when she was finally gone. Overall the character development was great in this story. I really loved TJ’S and Meg’s growing relationship. I really didn’t like how faithful Meg was to Minnie and let her control her life. It was really irritating because Minnie was preventing Meg from doing what she really wanted to do and she didn’t have Meg’s back like Meg had hers. Another character I liked was Nathan. He was so funny; He was the one who had brought the laugh aspect to a funny situation.

The plot in this story was unbelievable, as it is in most mystery\horror stories. You never expected what came next. When I thought I knew who it was, I was proven wrong. I guessed who the killer was, but then they died. So it just got freaky and confusing. In this story I love the journal aspect. It’s like in Scooby- Doo or in CSI – they receive a clue and it all comes together. Even with the clue though there was just so many unanswered questions running through your mind until the end. Which, is what every good mystery contains.

The end of the book was mind blowing! In the end I was supper shocked and would have never guessed the killer was that person. This story really had that surprise ending aspect and the characters. I never knew who was going to get killed next and as the pieces started to add up I just wanted to rush through the book as fast as I could. This story was so amazing!

Ten was an amazing thriller and it’s the best mystery\horror story I’ve read in a while. If you haven’t checked out Ten yet you are missing out. Ten keeps you guessing until the end and you won’t believe how it ends. McNeil’s writing is captivating and draws you into the story.
