Summary:

Juliette hasn't touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal. As long as she doesn't hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don't fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war-- and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she's exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

         Review:

Question to self why in the heck did I put of reading this for so long!? After reading Shatter Me I ask myself this constantly. This book has absolutely no words all kinds of words screaming in my head at me right now because there is just so many emotions running through my mind right now. I just can’t contain them.
First off, Juliette I am so proud of you! This book is why I love reading! In most books the female heroine always picks the wrong guy and wrong side! Thank you so much Juliette (And Tahereh) for not doing that and standing up for what YOU believed in that makes me so confident that if this world ever becomes like the world in Shatter Me and there is a guy like Warner or anything that will make me question what I already believe I will repeatedly say NO! Juliette is such a strong character! She never ever gives in! She stands up for herself all the way! I look at her and think wow. I really wish I could have the courage she has because let’s be honest even though I’d like to think I would like to be able to have the courage that she does if I was put in her shoes, but in actuality I would probably be the opposite.
I can’t help it! ADAM!!!! I am in love with Adam. Please become real. He really is the knight and shining armor! He helps Juliette find her way, helps her and believes in her. What more could you ask for in a guy? He respects her and even though they never talked in school he always wanted to. Aw.. I also really really love his little brother. He is just no words can explain it I thought he was cute and sweet. Oh and funny.
Ugh! So now to talk about Warner. How sick to go and kill one of your soldiers and right in front of everybody to. That is seriously sick and he shows no respect for anyone or anything, but himself. He is a stuck up jerk that I wanted to get the hell out of the story! He thinks him and Juliette will ever be together.. Haha please. Even though I do hate him I can’t help, but have a heart and feel bad for him because he has no one it seems like. This is why I think he is the way he is. I do feel bad for him, but I don’t think Juliette is the right person for him.
Okay how freaking cool is the ending!? Am I right? I mean seriously, never ever seen the ending coming. Taheri really knows how to right an amazing story. She knows how to use her words and the scratched out words of what she was thinking and wanted to say, but didn’t.. Genius. I really really appraise Tahereh Mafi for writing such an amazing story that keeps you on not the edge of your seat, but on the edge of a cliff waiting for more! She also makes you question your decisions on which characters you like and don’t. You never know your feelings towards a character in this book – her writing style does that! This by the way is what it feels like now waiting for Unravel Me. I must have Unravel Me soon! Thankfully it comes out around my birthday J

Seriously if you haven’t read Shatter Me yet what are you waiting for!? Don’t wait like I did If you have the book and if you don’t please just go get it from the library or buy it ( it is well worth a buy) and give it a chance it seriously deserves a chance.!

  1. I find Warner the most interesting character. Yes he is a psycho, no doubt there, but I think there is more to him. He got my sympathy vote too. I think his father has something to do with it. I want to find out more. Glad you enjoyed it!
