And will Shay stand by her side no matter what? Now in control of her own destiny, Calla must decide which battles are worth fighting and how many trials true love can endure and still survive

Review:
Wolfsbane was not what I expected it to be – a lot of people said that there was a lot of information being said and little to no action and I was actually scared to start this book. With that being said there was a lot of information being told and very few action, but the action they did have was decent enough to keep me in the book. For me I simply continued to read this book because of my curiosity and hoping it got better.

Did it? Well, at the end I was very satisfied with the last chapters, but as for the rest of the chapters, not so much. Calla becomes very dumbfounded in this book. Sometimes I wanted to throw the book on the floor and just stop reading, but I knew Ren would show up eventually in the book and I had to keep reading. I don’t know about you, but all the information was actually interesting for me unless Silas, was talking in the book. When he was talking I felt like he was talking about a hard math problem for a senior high school math class. It was like Huh, the whole time he talked.

Now for the characters, (again) Ansel I can’t say that it wasn’t a little predictable as to what happened. He showed up out of nowhere and why would they hand him over to her and why would it be her brother. I mean think about it he’s family and she would do anything to save her family. In any normal situation the “bad guys” would hold the family and threaten them. Calla, in this situation doesn’t really question anything in this book. Where there is some major clues she kind of just brushes them off and continues. Shay, ha-ha don’t even get me started I am 100 % team Ren ! Is it just me or did he become more of a jerk in this book then the last. In Nightshade he was ok in this book he is a complete Jerk. Every time, Calla said no to him and started thinking about Ren and how it was wrong he pushed her and always fought with her because she said no. What a jerk. Also, Shay really ticked me off at some points like when he knew something bad was going to happen, but he let her go through the portal and didn’t say anything! What type of person does that to a person they “Love.” To me that’s like saying I love you, but I am going to send you off to get killed now. Like seriously? Ok enough of my Shay babbling cuz I can go on forever I mean I am opposite sides remember.

Now as for Ren I was a little shocked at what he did to Calla, but I think he only did it because of his so called “father” Emile and because he was probably mad at her because she left him to run away with Shay, (spoiler Alert Coming up next) But it doesn’t appear that way because in the last chapter or so they get along just fine and talk and Kiss (Go ren!) So I am really curious to see what goes on in BloodRose. I hope she finds some direction again.

Overall, besides the minor character issues I had this book was great. I normally don’t do this, but I am going to rate it. I give this book 3 Pixies. Even though there was a lot of information I guess it depends on wither it’s interesting to you. Some of it was interesting to me, but not all of it. Well, If you haven’t read this book it’s some – what interesting if you really loved Nightshade.

Feature and Follow Friday ( Lucky #1)

Hi Guys or Gals,
This is my first Feature and Follow Friday so I am sorry if it's kinda a crazy post cuz I am trying to get used to it and figure out how all of this works. So bare with me :)
Well Follow Friday is Hosted By Alison Can Read and Parajunkee.

This weeks question is.....

Q: Have you had a character that disappointed you? One that you feel in love with and then "Broke Up" with later on in either the series or a stand-alone book?

A:
Well, I see a lot of people have posted about Gale from The Hunger Games and I completley agree with that , But I want to do a very different character from everyone else. With that being said the first thing that comes to my mind is Shay from the Nightshade series, but the only problem with that is I didn't actually love him I kind of hated him. Since that is not what the question asked I would have to say that I have never really encountered a character where I "Broke up with," with him or her. The thing is, I normally stick around to read the next book in the series and boring  or not I see the different sides of the characters and it can be annoying sometimes, but I know eventually there will be a time where the character will go back to the character I love... atleast I hope.
If I ever encounter I book I "break up with," and can not read because the character aggravates  me that much I will have to update this post.

Thanks, For baring with me if you read that and Please follow me or leave a comment I would love to hear what ya'll have to say.

Gabby.

Teaser Tuesday( The one with Charlie)

It's Teaser Tuesday this is a monthly meme on my blog . Teaser Tuesday is hosted by Should Be Reading. Pretty much what Teaser Tuesday is, is you open your current book your reading to a random page and you re-site two sentences on you blog as a teaser for a person\blogger who has yet to read this particular book.So this month on Teaser Tuesday I will be doing a teaser from:

The thing with Ned was that all the paparazzi knew where he lived but never bothered to go out there. It was like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory: No one ever went in and no one ever went out..... For all we Knew there could have been Oompa Loompas living there along with Ned and his father.

Review: The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

The Fault in Our Stars

By:(The most freaking awesom-est person) John Green
Pages: 313
Series: Standalone
Publisher: Dutton Books
Published: January 10,2012

Diagnosed with Stage IV thyroid cancer at 12, Hazel was prepared to die until, at 14, a medical miracle shrunk the tumours in her lungs... for now.
Two years post-miracle, sixteen-year-old Hazel is post-everything else, too; post-high school, post-friends and post-normalcy. And even though she could live for a long time (whatever that means), Hazel lives tethered to an oxygen tank, the tumours tenuously kept at bay with a constant chemical assault.
Enter Augustus Waters. A match made at cancer kid support group, Augustus is gorgeous, in remission, and shockingly to her, interested in Hazel. Being with Augustus is both an unexpected destination and a long-needed journey, pushing Hazel to re-examine how sickness and health, life and death, will define her and the legacy that everyone leaves behind.

                                                                                          Review:

Wow! I just finished this book, yes I know I am a little late, but I finally decided to read it and let me tell you… Wow! This book is still running through my head. AMAZING!

This book really makes me look at my life and think, wow, look at the little things I have to worry about compared to Hazel and Augustus and even Issac. Or any cancer patient for that matter. This book really was a real life changer for me, just like everyone said it was. Surprisingly I didn’t cry, but thinking about their struggles makes me want to now. This book really was amazing and I know I say that a lot but this was a different kind of amazing from all the others it’s indescribable.

As for the characters, Hazel was SUCH a fighter. Even though she had those times where she knew she was going to die eventually she actually found a way to live her life to the fullest and love. She always stood by Augustus, in his time of need; She had a lot of courage and sure she was scared, but she kept fighting. Augustus, He always wanted to be known and wanted to be remember by everyone which was so opposite of Hazel, but they were so compatible together despite their differences. Augustus grew and so did hazel as the plot progressed and Issac learned a little something from them to. To be honest I think everyone did.

This story had a real plot and really progressed throughout the story as did the characters. Unlike some books that are very bland and don’t help the character develop from their starting point. I also really like some of the settings—they were very vivid and colorful places.

This story is a very unforgettable one .As this being my first John Green novel and wow I really just want more. I am a complete Nerd Fighter now and please for love of books if you haven’t read this may I suggest you read it. It was hilarious at times, but scared you to pieces worrying about what was going to happen to these characters. I read it all in 1 day, and yes I do read books sometimes in 1 day, but this book I read in a few hours because I couldn’t go to bed tonight left wondering for another second what was going to happen. In the end I loved it and wouldn’t change it. John Green you are amazing!

Review: Shooting Stars by Allison Rushby

Shooting Stars

By: Allison Rushby
Series: Stand Alone
Pages:272
Publisher: Walkers Children
Published: February 28,2012

Summary:
Meet Josephine Foster, or Zo Jo as she’s called in the biz. The best pint-sized photographer of them all, Jo doesn’t mind doing what it takes to get that perfect shot, until she’s sent on an undercover assignment to shoot Ned Hartnett—teen superstar and the only celebrity who’s ever been kind to her—at an exclusive rehabilitation retreat in Boston. The money will be enough to pay for Jo’s dream: real photography classes, and maybe even quitting her paparazzi gig for good. Everyone wants to know what Ned’s in for. But Jo certainly doesn’t know what she’s in for: falling in love with Ned was never supposed to be part of her assignment.

                                                       Review:

Let me start off by saying Shooting Stars have got to be one of the cutest contemp. I have ever read! There is really something unique about this book. Maybe, it’s the photography because I believe photography is really interesting or maybe it’s the fun, short, loveable main character Jo.

I really related to Jo maybe being really short like her was the connection or maybe it was the fact that we have the same personality. I am not quite sure I can’t really put my finger on it. Jo was really unique to me. She was paparazzi and a young on at that, but unlike some of the paparazzi in this story she really took advantage of her height and her abilities to look like she was 12. She was really smart to think about how to get into these places others couldn’t to. Now, Jo doesn’t really have feelings for the stars she shoots until she is offered this job and she really finds herself in more while on the job and really sticks up for herself and the end and decides she knows what’s best and finally does what’s right. To me she sticks it to them hard, but she doesn’t hurt the people she cares about, if that makes any sense.

Now, It’s that time to talk about “Ned,” might I say that ned Is truly amazing. Now, when it comes to Ned I really can’t say to much about him without making this review quite a spoiler for the people who have yet to read this book and the things I do say about him will only make sense to the people who’ve read this book so I am just going to say Ned Is really nice and he is so funny I laughed and smiled at some of the jokes he made.

Last, overall this book was very cute I really liked the short read and it kept me wanting more I read it in a couple of hours and actually got it yesterday—for Easter. This book is really what I needed to read I smiled and laughed a lot at this book and All I can really say overall it was a great book if you like contemp.  or even if you are looking for a really cute lovable readyou should really give this book a try.
